WASHINGTON – Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz today announced that Kieran Gostin has been promoted to Counsel effective January 1, 2018.
Since joining WW+E as an associate, Kieran has used his breadth of experience representing government and corporate clients to secure major victories for WW+E’s clients. Kieran most recently helped Bayer win the first state-court bellwether trial over the blood-thinner Xarelto; the trial court entered judgment for Bayer and Janssen notwithstanding a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff. He also played a significant role in helping Bayer obtain victories in the first two federal MDL trials relating to Xarelto, with both juries returning complete defense verdicts in under two hours.
Kieran’s promotion is a testament to the considerable talent WW+E has amassed in under two years and the ongoing expansion of the firm. Since its inception, WW+E has grown to nearly 40 lawyers and has quickly established itself as the leading boutique trial firm in the country. Kieran is the firm’s third counsel.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to continue working on behalf of Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz’s clients with some of the best litigators in the country,” said Mr. Gostin. “I look forward to the great work on the horizon for the firm.”
An experienced defense attorney, Kieran has represented government and corporate clients in products liability, antitrust, data breach, copyright, national security, First Amendment, Privacy Act, Administrative Procedure Act, and other complex civil litigation matters. Before joining Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz, Kieran was a trial attorney in the Federal Programs Branch of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he defended the legality of federal statutes and executive agency action in federal courts across the country. Previously, Kieran was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
“Kieran’s promotion in his short time at the firm speaks for itself. His amazing work on behalf of our clients is a huge value-add, and we are fortunate to have him join our Counsel team,” said founding partner Beth Wilkinson.
Founded in February 2016, WW+E has attracted a diverse and energetic collection of the brightest legal talent in the country, boasting a lineup that now includes seven former Supreme Court clerks, six former federal prosecutors, two former federal public defenders, and numerous former appellate and district court clerks.
